We attracted our audience through a variety of different ways. Through social media where we made a Twitter page. Our target audience (13-19 year olds) are big social media users especially with Twitter which has generally more popular than Facebook. So it was useful for us to have a Twitter page as nearly everyone is using it and our audience can view the latest on our film Vamp.
There was an exclusive screening for the students and this was useful because it helped attract more viewers because they make up most of our target audience and through this they could spread the word to others.
Rough Cut Feedback The feedback we got from our rough cut helped us a great deal. This is because it helped us understand what we needed to do to improve our preview. We cut off a few of our establishing shots so that it wasn't dragging. We also had to cut off our handheld camera shot because it didn't go with our scene.
What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
Overall, these technologies have helped me all throughout the process of making my film. I have also learnt a lot from all the different types of technology and how to use them.
1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
the forms and conventions of a teen films usually consist of :
stereo types
music
hobbies
sex
drugs
parties
drama
my media product goes against the typcal conventions of a teen movie because it doesnt consist of any real themes and instead it has a super natural/ scifi theme due to it being a film about vampieres.
our teen film is based on the stories and ideas behind a very famous teen film: Twilight.
Twilight is very popular but is not a typical teen movie, although they have added certain teen conventions into their film such as; Sex, Drama and stereo types. My film only has on of these conventions, which is Stereo types.
